Barlean’s Fish Oil 8 oz Barleans Fresh Catch Signature
Barlean's fish oil signature formula is marketed as Barleans Fresh Catch, and contains both Omega 6 and Omega 9 in addition to the Omega 3 fish oil. My first thought is why the Omega 6 is included (you can see from the nutritional label below this has 90 mg of Omega 6. 55mg of this is linoleic acid. Dr. Mercola writes that "CLA cannot be produced by the human body, but it can be obtained through foods such as whole milk, butter, beef, and lamb."
That means you can get this through grass fed beef - and this fatty acid is known to have cancer fighting properties.
Going back to the Omega 6 profile - you can see that this oil is around 1600 mg Omega 3 - similar in profile to other high quality oils. One teaspoon daily with meals is the recommendation.
